The Great Estelon Speakers

Alfred, the founder of Estelon, studied acoustics at St Petersburg University and became a speaker engineer. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Alfred returned to Estonia’s hometown and created Estelon, a top audio system.

Estonia, located on the Baltic Sea, belongs to Northern Europe geographically and has a rich and pure natural landscape. As a famous “City of Philharmonic,” Estonia has a profound musical background. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, this country quickly became a developed country relying on the development of technology and the Internet industry. The popular instant messaging software Skype was born here.

The characteristics of each brand are inextricably linked to its birthplace. Estelon is no exception. Founder Alfred inherited the Soviet people’s profound knowledge of music and Estonians’ respect for technology and love for nature. It is all this that has created Estelon’s lively music, top quality, and pure and natural sound.

Due to commercialization, classical music recordings in the Soviet period are extremely rare, like a desert. But if you can dig into rare records in the Soviet era, you will have to lament the superb interpretation. You can’t doubt the profound musical attainments of the Soviets.

Although the material was scarce in the Soviet era, the young Alfred Vassilkov liked to toss the radio and studied acoustics and electronics at a university in St. Petersburg. After graduating in the 1980s, he became a designer of a speaker factory.

Alfred and his daughters

After the Soviet Union’s disintegration, Alfred stayed in his mother’s hometown, on the shores of the Baltic Sea, in Estonia covered by virgin forests, and designed speakers for foreign speaker manufacturers. During this period, Alfred continued to develop new technologies, search for new materials, create new structures, and mature his ideas.

Time flies. On a Sunday morning in 2010, Alfred said at a family breakfast: “For a long time, I have had an ambition: to build the best speaker in the world. I know what this concept is and how to do it. Selling the solution to other companies, now I want to try it myself.” Alfred’s two daughters, Alissa and Kristiina, immediately expressed their support, and Estelon was born.

Exclusive E-Lon Shape Feature

Estelon is nicknamed “vase” by some audiophiles, a tribute to Estelon’s unique and elegant appearance. The general appearance of this “vase” was named “E-Lon” by Estelon. The appearance of loudspeakers is modified not only to look good but also to look good. More importantly, acoustic characteristics are the key to good sound. It is also the most important manifestation of the designability of a loudspeaker manufacturer.

E-lon feature

After five years of research and development, Alfred has found the ideal acoustic profile. The mid-woofer unit is located at the top, as far as possible, in the center of the room height, which is beneficial to the diffusion of the human ear sensitive vocal mid-frequency. The tweeter unit is placed under the midrange unit, facing the human ear in a sitting position, with more explicit details and more precise positioning. The subwoofer unit is close to the ground, making full use of the ground’s diffusion effect to pave the way for both diving and rich low frequency.

After accurate calculation, the phase difference of the sound emitted by each unit is 0. It reaches the human ear at the same time: graceful curves, smooth transitions, and no parallel surfaces. Coincidentally, the beauty of hearing and the beauty of vision are unified in E-Lon’s shape, which is a symbol of Estelon’s strength and aesthetics.

Mysterious Material

With the best cabinet modification, you must have the best cabinet material to make full use of it. Estelon does not use commonly used materials such as wood, MDF, aluminum alloy, and so on. Alfred spent three years discovering a particular material, adding other mineral materials to the marble powder, and finally forming it in one piece without bonding points on the surface.

estelon

Wood is natural to crack and deform. The resonance point of MDF is challenging to control and has weak damping. Aluminum alloy is limited by milling technology and cost and has poor plasticity. Estelon’s marble composite materials are extremely stable in various living environments, and each one can be guaranteed to be the same.

Estelon’s marble composite material has extremely low resonance and excellent damping characteristics at frequencies audible to human ears. Estelon’s marble composite material can be cast into various curved surfaces and is still extremely strong. Without vibration, there will be no sound. Estelon’s cabinet is made of materials with excellent acoustic properties to form the best speaker cabinet, which is unique.

Top Units

Estelon’s high-end series uses Accuton, a top unit from Germany. Diamond, ceramic, and aluminum diaphragms combine high hardness and lightness, with neutral tone, rich details, fast transient response, and no distortion.

Even the entry-level YB, limited to the cost, cannot use the Accuton unit, but also uses Scan-Speak’s beryllium treble and Seas’s aluminum bass. Estelon even used the finger-thick speaker wire of the famous American wire brand Kubala-Sosna at the cost of the cable.

The Most Beautiful Colors

Piano black, white, matte black, white, cobalt blue, deep purple, colorful red. Each color is painted, polished, painted, polished, layer by layer. It took several weeks to complete. Don’t forget, Estelon’s designer is Alfred, and Estelon’s director is Alfred’s two daughters Alissa and Kristiina. Beauty is a must!
