Magico M3 Review

Magico, which has the highest speaker production technology today, announced the launch of a new generation of revolutionary speaker products that combine aerospace-grade aluminum and carbon fiber materials. It also has a fascinating high-performance sports car code name, and its name is Magico M3.

The M-Project

In 2014, to commemorate the tenth anniversary of its founding, Magico produced a limited number of 50 pairs of M-Projects worldwide. M-projects have undergone precise calculations and numerous rigorous measurements to ensure that the connection reaches the best state of seamlessness.

M-Project is equipped with highly complicated three-axis brackets assembled from dozens of metal backbones cut by CNC lathes, eliminating interference and rendering caused by unnecessary resonance to the replay sound effect, and creates the highest sound image positioning.

The midrange and treble will be arranged in a completely independent, isolated cabinet made of polymer. Its unique shape can inhibit internal refraction and at the same time resist the invasion of external resonance.

The Magico S3 speaker, a three-way crossover design, also uses this isolation soundbox. In addition, three woofers are installed vertically on the front baffle to absorb the shock absorber effect.

Magico M3 Design

Inheriting the new technology of M-Project, Magico officially launched the brand new Magico M3 floorstanding speaker, which continues the technology and design concept of M-Project. This M3 allows Magico fans to buy this top pair loudspeaker built by the craftsmanship are in his own home.

The wooden box for packaging the Magico M3 is quite large and very solid. The all-aluminum alloy speaker box is Magico’s consistent design style, so the net weight of a single M3 reaches 145 kg.

Magico M3 speaker is a pure black cabinet color. You can see three woofers, one midrange and one tweeter wrapped in a protective pad from the front. M3 has a height of 120 cm, a width of 49 cm, and 34 cm. It is a very moderate volume and should be suitable for most use spaces.

From the side, you can see the most distinctive carbon fiber side panels. Both sides are made of monolithic carbon fiber, which is very beautiful. The side panel has an arc-shaped design like the M-Project limited edition. The M3 is an all-metal box with carbon fiber side panels, all made into an arc shape, which is bound to increase the difficulty and time of production.

On the speaker binding-post panel, the words M, M3, and MADE IN USA are engraved.

The Driver

The design of Magico M3 uses a brand-new “graphene” midrange and bass unit, a brand-new crossover design, and a 28mm diamond beryllium diaphragm tweeter. This is the most complex and cutting-edge technology driver ever designed by Magico.

Graphene is one hundred times stronger than the most rigid steel. The 6-inch midrange and 7-inch woofer of the M3 are made of multi-layer carbon fiber XG nanographene and the latest patented ultra-high hardness carbon fiber weave. That is a 20% reduction in weight than the previous Magico monomer, but the hardness is enhanced by 300%.

The midrange unit of Magico M3 loudspeaker uses a composite sub-cabinet, which is internally isolated from the box space used by the woofer unit, which significantly improves the control power of the midrange and the clarity of sound transmission.

Equipped with three 7-inch diameter MAG7012RTC woofers to produce enough low-frequency energy and diving ability in quantity while maintaining low-frequency speed and accuracy.

M3 inherits the 28mm diamond beryllium diaphragm tweeter of the M-Project limited edition speaker. This revolutionary tweeter design has a nearly perfect rigidity to weight ratio. Mr. Alon Wolf specially selected Magico M3 to apply unique technology to evenly cover the diamond powder on the beryllium shock film before assembly.

The tweeter has a highly extended stroke and a neodymium iron boron magnet specially designed for carrying the M3 to match the high sensitivity and control of the high sound pressure stroke so that the M3 has an extremely low distortion rate.

Conclusion

The Magico M3 floor-standing speaker assembled using patented technology will only be produced in Magico’s factory in the United States. Therefore, it must undergo rigorous testing before leaving the factory to ensure that every Magico M3 user will enjoy the same perfect performance without the slightest deviation.
